Re: Time to buy tires.

i shopped around and the best price i could get for the type of tires i wanted was from swmototires.com. they didn't have the best price on all tires. i narrowed my tires down to 3 "models". other places had 1 or 2 of the 3 cheaper... but the cheapest of all three were a set of bt-021's from swmotot...

i don't know what we've learned. but all the drilling that goes on every day and it's been 30 years. i wish we could have accident rates like that for driving. The end result of a car accident and a catastrophic failure like this one is not even remotely comparable. Also majority of car accidents o...

Re: B.P. and the Gulf spill?

Yes it is tragic that people died too. But, to down grade the other species that share our earth to a lesser importance is disheartening to me. The dolphins, sea turtles and other LIFE are dying. Thing is what "People" dont understand is the importance of our oceans. If the oceans life dies...we di...

Re: B.P. and the Gulf spill?

Tragic, but not unexpected...there is no such thing as foolproof, there is ' always ' the chance that something unexpected could go wrong. The question here is whether there was negligence involved that improved the odds of something going wrong. It was either an unfortunate tragic accident...or a ...

Re: Freeway messages stir outrage in some drivers

love the comment that they don't have to look out for bikers. i'm guessing they believe they're bigger and have more rights? wonder if they'd take the same attitude towards 18-wheelers? they're bigger, you better get out of their way because they don't have to look out for cars. idiots.

Re: Save the earth, buy a scooter

According to Yamaha, 2010 FZ6R = 43mpg and 2010 TMAX = 47mpg. If you really want to save Mother Earth a CBR125 like csspostal's might make a more significant difference. fz6r is a different bike than the fz6. worst i've gotten with the fz6 is ~40. best i have gotten is ~52+ ... i can't remember the...

Re: chain wax

your chain wax is your lube. you can use it or the oil. to clean my chain i usually use kerosine in a spray bottle and a grunge brush (get at a motorcycle shop). if i'm in a hurry i might use wd-40 to clean the chain. keep in mind there is controversy on wd-40 so do your research before you decided ...

Re: B-King - An Odd bike's Journey

use searchtempest and keep checking the fz6 forum (as well as posting what you're looking for). i got my e52 top case for $150.00 and the rack for $50.00. that's a far cry from the $450.00+ i would have spend buying it new and having it shipped to me.

http://i40.tinypic.com/24e450p.jpg It stopped raining, Dean! Besides, I don't mind buckets of rain, if it's warmer. Ask LionLady. It's the cold rain that I prefer to avoid. nicely done. and i'm with you... i don't mind being cold. and i don't mind being wet. but cold and wet is something ...
