Opinions wanted

I have a 1985 Hondel Rebel 250. It's in great shape and even though I have decided to move to a larger bike in the Spring, I want to hang onto this bike. I'm hoping that there will be a Mrs Slowair someday.

Anyway, I have a problem. I want to keep the bike original. So far everything is stock and ...

Carb rebuild kit available for Honda Rebel?

Now that winter is upon us, I am deciding what projects to undertake.

I'm new to motorcycles, but I like to be hands on.

Early in the Summer, I bought an 85 Rebel from someone I didn't know as well as not knowing anything about bikes. If I knew then what I know now, I would have dropped the amount ...

The K&N filter doesn't work too well with my bike from what I've heard and read online. OEM filter works best for my bike.
That would be the site.

Ordered from Honda Direct recently?

If you have and you haven't heard about or received your order, you may want to give them a call.
They had/have a computer problem and the orders are seriously behind.
Email won't get an answer. I tried three times without a reply. Try calling 800-785-6761 for OEM parts.
Three weeks for an air ...

Oh this is bad! Very bad! I'm experiencing the same identical problem.

Well, at least it's almost the end of the season and I know now what the problem is.

Should make a good winter project.

I'm using a synthetic blend.

Can you give me a couple brand names that would be specifically made for wet clutch performance? And where to find them?

Thanks,
Mike

Interesting idea. Any suggestions on how I would find out the ideal oil for this bike? I'm already using what the manufacturer recommends according to the sevice manual.

My brother, the mechanic, adjusted the clutch cable when I went to get the bike checked. I'm very new to this, so I trusted him to know.

I took your advice and adjujsted the cable back to where it was. So far, no slipping.

And if it does need the clutch replaced, at least now I know what to ...

Is it the clutch slipping?

Since I bought a Honda 250 Rebel, there has been this weird hesitation. It happens so seldom that I pretty much forget about it until it happens again.

It has just been this hesitation once in a while while shifting.

Now today, I was headed for town, the bike was running maybe for 5 minutes. I ...

I use the $20 cover you can find at Walmart. Comes in large and extra large.

Has the safe lining for your windscreen and heat resistant bottom panels (after 15 minutes). Has a bungee latch underneath and two vents on op by the hand grips.

I've used it all season and I personally think it was a ...
