Re: full face vs open face helmet
I've always worn a full face helmet, and recently retired my first one due to age. I'm always amazed at the amount of dings and chips and giant bug death that have happened to that helmet in 5 short years. And most of that would have been crap that would have hit my face at 55+ mph...so I don't see ...

Re: Jewellery on Bikes?
I always wear my wedding ring and hadn't ever thought of taking it off. It's a simple titanium band, so it's pretty comfortable to wear.
Is that a common issue in accidents, losing fingers due to ring wearing?

I've had exceptional luck with the Sidi Jasmin Tempor. Been through many hours of hard rain riding and going through some puddles. Haven't had wet feet yet.. *crosses fingers*

I had the big tank, so mine was pretty heavy and it was definitely a concern at first. I've never ridden one configured like you described, unfortunately. I have the urge to ask you a million questions but I'm sure you already know what to do, its just a matter of time making it happen.

The sporty is pretty top-heavy - how fast is she going when she's going wide? Does she ever take the corner well or is it always wide?

I work for Google.
The learning opportunities are pretty insane, and the benefits.
The NDA sucks.

Re: In Your Face
I was hit in the chest with a chunk of drywall that flew off of a work truck in front of me - at 55 that was really less than pleasant. Even though the drywall hurt more, the indignity of being hit in the chest with a lit cigarette from the car next to me was a lot worse. The dead-zone made by my wi...

Hello? What's going on with the neighbor then? Are the bikes both healthy and being exercised regularly? What's doing!

Re: Cruiser bike for long road-trip -- any of you done it?
I have yet to witness any 250 cruiser (and yes I've seen the Kymco) that I would trust on a multi-state highway tour. I've done a lot of touring on my kawi 650r before I sold it, and the smaller the bike is the more I find it gets beat up/blown around. On top of that with the little motor I don't kn...

I prefer to call it "opportunistic" riding. Whenever there's an opportunity to take advantage of the smaller size/faster speed/be somewhere else, take it!

Re: Lending / Borrowing Bikes
There are probably only 2 people who I would let ride my bike at all. And I'm not sure I'd be crazy about it happening if I wasn't also on a bike going the same way.

Re: ICON does not sell replacement liners?!
I have one joe rocket that fits what you've described - it's the ballistic 7.0. Longer cut (it's a touring style jacket) but it has lots of vents and a liner for colder weather. It claims to be waterproof and so far that's held up in my experience. I really love my corazzo max jacket, although it do...

Re: Bike day!
So one week later (tomorrow) and I'm loving the new bike. Still getting used to it and figuring out where it wants to hang out in the power band - so far it really doesn't seem to mind what I want to do, and happily responds to pretty much everything with ease. We're definitely getting along well. I...

Which ICON jacket do you currently have, or what are some comparable jackets you consider Spring jackets?
