Bots

Just wondering why there are so many bots showing at the bottom of this forum where it shows which members are currently on line ? Are they invited or uninvited ?

Re: Just bought a new Yamaha

I just stopped by to have a look at the forum and I'm pleased to see that Total Motorcycle is alive and well. Now that Winter is on the horizon here in N.E.Ohio, I hope to spend more time on this forum. I still have my 2007 V-Star Silverado and my 1981 XS650 H Yamaha. It's been a while and 10,000 mi...

Re: Just bought a new Yamaha

It's been 6 riding seasons, and starting on the 7th since I bought my 1100 V-Star Silverado and it continues to be flawless. The only issue I had was with hot starts, it didn't want to start after a ride in 90 temps, but a re-jet took care of that. I also changed over to synthetic oil, just for my o...

Re: The irony of it

I may have used a little poetic license while describing the thoughts I had about the SUV driver that day on the expressway. I don't know for sure how he felt, but I'm positive about my thoughts that day. I'm glad I was on two wheels with my saddlebags packed and nothing in particular that demanded ...

The irony of it

The irony of it: One day while riding my motorcycle on the way to the Ohio River, I had to slow down for construction on the expressway. Right beside me was a guy in his expensive SUV, with it's air conditioned leather seats and Bose sound system. His wife and 2.3 average kids demanded his full atte...

Re: We were bikers...my buddies and me

No trikes for me, but... when I get too old to ride, I have an old XS650 Yamaha that I'm going to restore from the ground up. I'll be 70 on my next birthday.

We were bikers...my buddies and me

I wrote this for my own web site a while back, I would like to share it with you: We were bikers back in the day, the 1950's is when we started....my buddies and me. We rode Triumphs, BSA, Nortons, Harleys and Indians and we argued who had the best and fastest motorcycle. We imitated James Dean with...

Re: Just bought a new Yamaha

Well, it's the end of the 4th riding season for the V-Star Silverado and it is still flawless. All I have had to do is change the fluids on a regular basis and add gas. I may need a new rear tire for next season, but everything else is good to go, the chrome and paint remain perfect, not a bit of ru...

Motorcyclist Memorial...Hopedale Ohio

A friend of mine and myself took a ride to the Motorcyclist Memorial in Hopedale Ohio, if you have never been there, you owe it to yourself to stop and visit. It's a memorial for bikers who have passed before us. I took a few photos, the cruiser is my ride: This Gazebo marks the entrance to the memo...

Why didn't I throw her on the back of my bike and ride to the place ? Well, they say opposites attract, and in our case that holds true. We have been married for 45 years and I can count on the fingers of my right hand how many times she has ridden with me. The lady just doesn't get motorcycles....b...

Learning to lie with a straight face

Last Friday my wife expressed a desire to take a trip down to Amish country to get some cheese....we love cheese especially if it is fresh and we have a big variety to choose from. I had been watching the weather for the weekend and saw there was a chance of rain on Saturday with hot and humid condi...

This summer makes it 53 years that I have been riding motorcycles, and I can testify that the Harley vs non American made motorcycles debate has been going on since the days when bikes like Triumph, BSA and Norton were Harley's biggest competitors. Nothing has changed except the players, now it's Ha...

What would you be doing if there were no motorcycles ?

What would you be doing if there were no motorcycles ? Most of us ride motorcycles for reasons of our own, some of us want the spirit of adventure and exploration, some of us feel the need for speed, some of us ride for relaxation, some of us ride so we can meet new friends and make lasting relation...
