Re: Front sprocket installation error... did I ruin my gears
except this time when I got close, the wrench seemed to slip and at the same time make a sort of clicking noise. Maybe I'm missing something, but you were you using a dialed in torque wrench... because that's what I would have expected to happen. What I was going to say as well. If you know how to ...

Re: Need suggestions on a smooth ride
The Strom 650 is underpowered, but the Burgman is "FAST"? You can probably MacGuyver a back rest onto most things. The Buell Ulysses has a kind of cool flip-up back rest. The Strom 650 has, I think, decent power for two-up. I'll admit that I'd want more displacement if I was making long, lugg...

 I like it. It seems that it's time to start improving my body positioning while cornering. I rolled on the throttle through a sort of fast 90* RH turn and managed to grind a bit of material off my Caribou box on that side. 8) I still have chicken strips though, so it looks like t...

I was hired by one of the big DoD contractors to turn wrenches on ordnance. Quite a big difference from working at the hospital, where I've spent the last six years, but it allows me to finally capitalize on the technical education I received while in the Air Force Reserves.

How time flies.
Still riding, at just about 21K miles now. Had the chain replaced with an RK x-ring last week.
Starting a new job Monday, so I'll have to see if it will be practical to commute on the bike in the future.

Re: Very limited 2010 Suzuki models???
Suzuki still has a lot of '09 stock sitting on dealers floors, so they're committed to selling those bikes before swamping their showrooms with new bikes. New street bikes will appear again for the 2011 model year.

Generally speaking, air cooled < oil cooled. If you ever get stuck in a traffic jam on a warm day you'll be thankful for the oil cooler and wishing you had a radiator as well.

Re: Cross-country ride
Done any long rides before? Make sure the body is able. Get off and stretch every hour or two. Stay hydrated. Snack. When I ride long days I really notice myself losing attentiveness and not riding as smoothly if I go for too long. I think the Honda is shaft driven, which is nice for extended riding...

Re: WELCOME TO THE NEW TMW COMMUNITY FORUM!!!
Might just be me, but the text on the new forum sort of blends in with the background and is a little harder to read. The whole blue on blue on blue thing screws with me a bit. I'm on my netbook now though, might be better with a bigger screen.
