Pings are also a way to test connectivity to a device. While ping replies can be turned off or firewalled, getting a ping response over a network means that both sides are properly connected to the same network. Getting no ping response can be a result of a misconfigured system or network device (ro...

Based on what I understand in articles online (seemingly from credible sources, and it's been years since college physics) the kinetic coefficient of friction is affected by the surface area. Static friction is not. This would have to be true as increasing the contact patch on your tires increases ...

I'm still thinking about this. Academically, I know that static friction is directly proportionaly only to the coefficient of friction and the normal force. And nothing else. But intuitively, I have serious trouble believing that a 6-lb stiff rubber sheet attached to the bottom of a 6-lb 2'x2' piece...

Inflating to max value will ... dramatically reduced traction. By altering the laws of physics where traction is solely dependent on weight and the coefficient of friction. But second to all the rest of it. Max pressure isn't at all what you want to ride. Don't thank us, thank your not sore &...

It's an oddity with the Virago. Unless the 250 is different from the 535, it'll only lock turned to the right. edit: Just checked the manual and that is correct. Steering lock only works when the forks are turned right. Those giving different advice may want to make sure they know what they're talki...

I move mine without my gear. I put it on the trailer, move it to another spot in the parking lot, etc. I'm also careful. And if I do something stupid, fall, and scrape up my arm, then I'll use it as a learning experience not to do stupid things in the future. But I'm sure as heck not going to start ...
