There's no doubt about that; it was just one of those weird purchases where, "Igottahaveit", even though it made little sense on more than a few levels. :D

Actually, what you describe is right-on...although, if you're thinking of a MotoGP rider hanging off, I'm sure it's not quite that extreme. One of my biggest fears is either something in the road/oncoming traffic on a blind turn. If my weight is well inside of the bike, I feel I'm able to skirt eith...

Dude...

I can steer without coming off the bike. In fact, I see lots of guys do it all over town, as they creep around corners with their elbows locked.

Regardless, I merely said it was more comfortable, and facilitated more confident cornering.

Sorry if I wasn't clear.

Sportbike riding positions...

Greetings, all... I feel as though I've read everything out there on "proper" riding position when leaning off the bike, and I'm sure I've tried them all as well. Before anyone says anything, yes, I do occasionally lean off while street riding, but let me explain why... I have a bike that ...

Hey, everyone; I'm located in Jackson (it's the cesspool betwixt Ann Arbor, Lansing, and Kalamazoo, for those of you that are afraid to come around these parts :D ), and I wouldn't mind finding someone to ride with as well. I ride a ZX7R, but I don't need to ride with sportbike types; I'm just looki...

It's great that someone is making the effort, and I'm sure everyone wishes them well, but...it's like that little Korean SV650 clone that's out there right now, built by Hyosung - sure it's cute, and looks the part...but...why? When you know for certain what you have with the SV650 at a similar cost...

I figured it was a coin flip as to whether or not you were being sarcastic regarding the exhaust (I'll give ya the benefit of the doubt, though ;-) ), but regardless...one of my pet peeves is the worship of "performance upgrades" that are nothing more than "Look at me!!!!" bumper...

Nothing of consequence to add, but I wanted to say what a breath of fresh air it is to see so many people making rational comments regarding what's truly important in regards to "performance upgrades", on a sportbike message board. This place is Heaven! :D

Greetings, all...

Having bounced around various other sportbike forums and growing tired of either the know-it-all attitudes and/or the rampant silliness/wastes of bandwidth, I look forward to getting to share ideas with you all; I've been lurking for a bit, and it seems like a good group. Sorry about the crappy phon...
