My riding career is over!!! =( *sniff*

I had a 2000 Kawasaki Ninja 250 that helped me with my daily commute at approximately 70 mpg pushing 80+ miles an hour and helped me find parking with such ease around my university at brooklyn. However just tonight, some a holes decided to go throw it into a van and run off with it and now I no lon...

I think it's just too small. I've ridden with the helmet for a while now but only the temple's of my head hurt after about 45 mins into a ride. Also, quick question. When you guys ride, does it sort of constrict the blood flow to your hands by any chance? I noticed that after a ride to and from scho...

First hour long ride made to class!

So today was the first day I took my Ninja 250 to Brooklyn which is about an hour ride for me. Today, the entire highway was blocked off because a car had an accident but luckily for me, I had my bike lane splitting and I was able to get up close and personal to the accident which helped alleviate a...

I commute to and from work on the higway a bout 15 miles or so. I usually go around 70 - 80 mph so I guess it's not so bad. I don't think I'll be hitting triple digits with it easily tho =\

Oh i see. So I guess the consensus is to stay off the clutch while on a curve to stay in acceleration eh? I guess I hold in the clutch until I lean and then I friction point the rest of the way with a maintenance throttle. But I guess that won't do =\

Yeah you see, because for a car, there is no engine compression so I would always hold in the clutch for no apparent reason =\. Actually, to switch gears quickly if ever need to be I guess, but you're right, I guess with a motorcycle it's more preferable to not hold in the cluthc and have engine com...

Holding in clutch while braking = bad habit?

When I used to drive my stickshift car, or even any manual car for that matter, everytime I brake, I would find my self holding in the clutch. If i needed to accelerate or maintain a speed, I would just go up to the friction point and then release. But then I realized that as I started to ride a mot...

NY - took hubby and a friend to DMV (I took BRC) Hubby's was in torrential rain, and he had to turn onto a main street, go to stop sign, make a right, make a left...On a side street, he had the two lanes to do 2 left and 2 right circles, 2 figure 8's. Back up a steep hill, left turn with an incline...

Oh I c. I actually don't know anyone who has a Motorcycle license, so we were gonna put it into a van and drive it to the road test site lol. I mean it's not actually a trailer but I'm hoping that they'll allow it which I think they would. I've transported the motorcycle that way before =\

Has anyone here gotten their license via road test?

Just wondering, is the road test for motorcycle basically the same as the basic rider course test? Figure 8's, quick stop, etc? Or do they have you do more stuff? Just curious

Sorry to hijack your thread but quick question. When you guys take a turn, you don't ride the clutch until the apex huh? What if you were just in la la land and didn't realize what gear you were in and didn't know whether or not to downshift or upshift and you were about to hit a curve that has a de...

Oh i c. Well my Ninja can start in first gear as long as I hold the clutch down but that kickstand thing I definately have to check it out. Maybe a quick glance at that dusty old manual might help me out. This morning is a nice morning so let me give it a spin and I'll let ya know in 13 hours ^_^.

Bike stalls even with throttle opened?

Now don't think I'm just stalling the bike and sux at finding the friction point cuz then I wouldn't make a post abotu this loll. Well, I ride my 2003 Ninja 250 and it works fine the entire day. So later tonight, after getting out of work, I hop onto my bike again and I start it up with the choke sl...
