Why is the dipstick inconvenient on your bike? Mine just unscrews right at the top, takes 5 seconds to check at the gas station after filling the tank. I'd kill for a dipstick on my transmission! Thanks for the advice, and I never thought about the weight in the front bein a problem. I was more concerned about the stock 240 rear tire floating out from under me as i turned. This construction is nuts though they are repaving a highly used section of roadway around here, and no loose gravel sig...

Texas Law
I know in my area of texas the law has always been that you can't have anything strobing or flashing, and they shouldn't be able to see the bulbs, but if your car has a natural GLOW about it......that's alright I see bikes every now and then with the strobing spark plug lights..... but i think that'...

I'd go with the owners manual until someone you know has a bike that out lasts yours! Another thing about the clunky is some bikes transmission are designed that way......my sv-650s and M109R both do it.....they just clunk.....It's so that harley beside me knows that I'm just now shifting to second ...
