I hit a deer, or rather, he ran into me last month. It came out of the ditch on my left side and I didn't even have a chance to try to avoid it. He ran into the side of my bike, bent (but didn't break) my front signal lite, I wacked him on the head with my knee, then he spun around and hit the ...

Yellowknife North West Territories

I am thinking about a trip to Yellowknife next summer. It will be about 3000 miles (5000 km) round trip & I would like to know if anyone else has gone up there, what the roads are like, what is the best time to go etc. Any info would be appreciated

My wife named our bike "Sunset" after the old show "Sunset Boulevard".
The bike is a Suzuki Boulevard so she felt the name would fit.

Make sure to keep the battery off of the cement floor. For some reason a battery sitting directly on a cement floor will go dead very quickly. Putting the battery on the workbench will ensure your battery will be ready to go come the warm weather.

The Bull

A man took his wife to the rodeo and one of the exhibits they stopped at was the breeding bulls. They went up to the first pen and there was a sign that said, "This bull mated 50 times last year" The wife playfully nudged her husband in the ribs and said "he mated 50 times last year"

They walked to ...

Toy Run

We had our annual Toy Run in town here today. There were about 400 bikes out so it was a pretty good event. It was lots of fun having the police stopping traffic for all of us. That in itself is enough of a reason to join in. It was for a worthy cause & everyone had a good time. The only thing I ...

In my saddlebags I carry
earplugs, rainsuit, wiping rag, and bike cover for when I take the bike to work
The toolkit (which is practically useless) is carried in the side cover on the left side of the bike.
From what I've seen other people posting, I think I'll make some additions to the contents ...
