I'm considering this bike as well. I live in Houston where 6 months out of the year, it's pretty warm here, okay downright HOT. Is there any express concern about that considering it's air cooled ? Would the Ninja 500 be any better? Or does it just come down to preference?

'92 Yamaha FZR 600

Would this be a good first bike? Looks like riding position may be too hunched, but won't know until you get on it. 16.6K miles for 14 yr old bike. Too much for a beginer?
Pic looks clean...hmm....

I know I'm just a newb....but in reference to using the clutch, there's a big difference from riding the clutch to engaging the clutch. In a manual, I to engage the clutch when breaking, and I have aplied this to my limited experience on a motorcycle as well. But I was tought to always keep my foot ...

Hello, I'm a newb! I have a question related to this topic, but more for the sport/standard. I have not ruled out the cruiser style, but want open options.

I see a lot of people recommend the Ninja 250/500, Suzuki GS500 or SV650/S. My purpose for getting a motorcycle is to commute to work. about 7 ...
