Steve Jobs - he's a goner kids

An intense guy... aged 56... worth billions... made some significant fun along the way in the computer industry, and with larger media... I am sure there will be many Steve Jobs' bios coming soon, although I always liked Steve Wozniak's contributions and ideals much more than Jobs' business and sale...

Re: Brough Superior SS100 motorbike set to fetch record £300

Maybe Jay Leno doesnt yet have the right SS100 in his collection...

There is a funny epsiode of the British TV-series, Lovejoy, where they "fix-up" Lawrence of Arabia's Brough Superior for sale to a collector.

Re: NEW: The History of the Suzuki GSX-R750

The title of the first page is misleading adcopy vs journalism, stating "THE First Modern Race-Replica", although the text from Suzuki is less misleading stating "We had no real competitors in the market, other than factory racing machines."... when in fact at the time Suzuki's own RG500 was often T...

Re: 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale

My memories of the NR750 are off a bit I think. I did only glance at a pic similar to your first image: profile shot. The bike does look nicer than remembered. I may have mixed the look in my head with a VFR750 that they made afterwards which had a bit of the NR styling. The angled photo does justic...

jeesh guys i dont know, it's probably a little sluggish up top. It really needs a Mr.Turbo kit cuz i'm sure it won't power wheelie in fifth gear at 170mph with my lips bleeding and arm-sockets feeling like i am hanging onto the tail of an F-16 catapulting off the deck of the USS Soap-Dish. I ...

QM: I don't think you can use the data of the Caterham 7...... completely different to a "normal" car. Amazing yet, but it's a kit car with very little other than an engine and frame. While Caterham's may be very simple cars, and although not quite normal in looks or accoutrement's to most current ...

It's amazing how little a guy like you can learn because you're so busy insulting someone else when they show you that you missed the point. If you werent so foolish you could easily find pieces of my varied riding experience on this web-site covering the mid-80s to present. But instead you *choose*...

Beta 350RR is turning out to be another awesome Euro off-road bike. There trials bikes have been just beautiful things, and now these trail bikes are becoming more cost-competitive with the Japanese and just great bikes. Beta is also using there own engines now, rather than the KTM units they used p...

As you can see there aint much for contributors in these forums these days and not much reason to visit to make new inquiries. Sometimes a search might reveal similar answers from questions in the past, but the off-road forums havent ever been popular here... Your desire to jump from a CRf80 to a CR...

Re: This Week: 2012 Ducati Monster 1100 EVO - VOTE NOW

I thought my reply to "only 100-horsepower!!" was simple and obvious, but I will expand upon what I was saying: power-to-weight ratios... that is what we're talking about, and old engines vs. new engines. Firstly: Power-to-Weight ratio We'll reduce it down to just how much chubbiness does each horse...

yeah. looks a bit more like a typical sportbike as he 1098 also sacrificed a little. i think it's sort-of a blend of the MotoGP bike a bit, which has less character in the lines. Here's a pic of the other side. oh... a little EDIT myself... re Terblanche, etc... 999 is the only Ducati superbike desi...

the TL1000 Superbike was cancelled shortly after the introduction by the top brass to go back to the GSXR platform. For racing purposes yes but for the street the TL1000 morphed into the SV1000. i mentioned the SV right before where you clipped the quote :D -- whereas the reason i mentioned the TL ...

Hyperr, I used the "..." to link it all together with your conclusion, rather than repeat it again. The "bubbles" you're talking about are always out there at various levels, with definite interconnectedness, but will they necessarily come to fail all at once? I think there are much more likely norm...

Re: This Week: 2012 Ducati Monster 1100 EVO - VOTE NOW

It's pretty hilarious that Markg1 says "only 100hp" while we're looking at this thinking "great". Some people don't know what there missing. They get so used to reading a number and thinking without thinking. If you dont like the looks, there's not much in it, and maybe the V-Rod has lost 200 lbs si...
