Glad your ok Silent. Thats why I am holding off on the canyons for now. I just dont have enough experience to ride them. I figured that out on the last day of my class. Boquet canyon is a rough road to drive much less ride. It seems like the curves are less harsh than they are. That is one I wont hi...

Thanks all. It feels so awesome to have passed it. I am not going to be carving the canyons anytime too soon. I have other skills I need to hone first. But that is a goal to look forward to. Enjoying the canyons. I figure I'll get there when I get there and if I don't keep up hubby will wait for me....

Hey i know I am a bit late in this. But get cones or soda cans or whatever comes in handy as the others said. The cones at the course are about 15 feet apart with a three foot offset. They look something like this. | | | | | | | Hope it helps. Have a great one and ride safe Deedee

I see what you are saying now that I have done the cones. But the way I managed em was by taking the first cone a little wide as was suggested then looking at the one ahead of the one I was going around then when I was going for that one I swithced focus to the next one up the line. As long as I lea...

OK then verm you are more responsible than those riders are. Why take it as a shot at you personally? Just take it as informative and know that their are others out there less responsible than you are. That is a problem that all of us face and something that should be dealt with. That many accidents...

Heres a couple of questions for you Verm: 1) Would you ride those speeds on a twisty when there is other traffic and blind curves? Or would you take it to a track? 2) If it was you out there in a car and haven't ridden would you look at them as if they are horrible and then see the results of their ...

Ok I see what your saying. But.... When I asked the instructor about it before doign the exercise he said that you need to turn your head the bars and lean to get around the cones. Watching the instructor do the cones he was definitely leaning the bike and turning the bars. When doing the cones in s...

I don't see it as biased. It is a good report. Those bikers should not be traveling at those speeds on a public road. If they wanna race take it to a track. Basic MSF Course stuff. Take into consideration the way you ride and the consequences to you and others. Obviously these riders aren't and peop...

I did a little better managed to get about halfway through before messing it up. Swinging the hips is just like leaning the bike I am assuming. Because going through the cones you need to be able to flick the bike back and forth and if your swnging your hips your able to do it easier than just leani...
