Back to square one :(((

Hey everyone, its been a while since my last post. I was all set to get my Katana600 in January but unfortunately a lot of things went bad and was unable to purchase one. While trying to sort everything out I thought I would use the time to check out other bikes. I have been looking at the CBR600F4i ...

First, I would like to thank you all for your advice you have been giving me(I know i will be needing more). Second, Even though I have heard mixed reviews about the Katana600, overall it has gotten a decent rating, so I've decided to go with it for now. It something in my price range and a little ...

Do any of you know of good, trustworthy websites where I can look for used bikes?(dealer or by owner) The only ones I have been recommended to was craigslist.com and cycletrader.com. Also when is the best time to buy a bike new or used, to get the best deal?

Thanks

Re: i hear you

the YZF-600R is a sport tourer like the katana. it's more powerful though than even the katana750.

So would the YZF-600R be considered a good beginner bike? Because I have heard that the Katana600 is barely beginner friendly and so if the YZF-600R is more powerfull then the Katana750, wouldn't ...

Re: i hear you

I was also looking at Kats but I didn’t really like the bike, heard not so pleasant things about it, and it felt more like a cruiser than a sports bike. I heard YZF is a pretty good bike; have you thought about that?

well Good luck with your new bike.... and keep searching

This is the reason I have been looking at the Katana 600. I have looked around and can find a used one for less then 3K. Also I have read it to enough power for my height and weight and a passenger(after much experience). I do plan on upgrading but I plan on using it for many seasons before ...

I have sat on big bikes before and feel confident that I can handle holding the heavier bike, so the weight of the Katana is not the biggest of my concern. The main reason I started to think of the Katana again is because many other forums and websites like Epinions, TwoWheel froums, motorcycle ...

I meant to say Katana 600 instead of Katana650. For some very stupid reason I had confuse the YZF with the GS500F, they look very similar.
Sorry

can't decide

Hey everyone. First of all I want to thank you all for helping me by sharing your wisdom. Second of all I still need more help. While I am waiting to get a spot in the MSF course, I have been researching bikes. Although I had decided to go with the Ninja650r, I recently had to look for another one ...
