Re: NO NONO

By the way I WOULD NEVER BUY A NEW NINJA 250. from 1987(?)-2006 they are almost the same. (except the disk brake in the back, Guages etc.) Why Pay $4000 when I can buy virtually the same one for $ 1000. May be a New R6 though. Every person is different. Maybe buying new doesn't make sense for you b...

$3,800? 800 extra dollars in fees? I know tax and the rest, but I was expecting maybe $3,400-3,500 OTD, but maybe it's the area you're in has some say on the final price?

I don't want to see anyone mess up their bodies, but come on, doing a wheelie on the wrong side of the road without a helmet or anything? And he lived so I didn't get any more air out of the deal or anything.

I know this thread is an oldie, but I take it these knee pads are not too warm then? I'd like to have some sort of armor on all my joints when I start to ride, so it would be nice to know these are fairly breathable so when the time comes I could feel safe just ordering them online.

The riding position on a scooter is exactly like sitting on the john. Worse, her elbows are flapping, and all she needs its a little grimmace to signal that she's really struggling to birth some processed goods. It got me thinking, why not install a hole in the seat? You could take long scooter tri...

The doctors wanted to remove my leg just above the knee, but I nixed that. They put me back together as best they could, but told me I'd never walk well again. I didn't listen. eventually, I was running 18 minute 5Ks or pedaling 35s every day. Last year I climbed Mount Elbert, the tallest peak in C...

I have a while to go before I'll be getting a bike, but so far the 250 seems like it would fit me better than the 500. I mean I am interested in it, but I vary rarely drive on the highway and the 250 is a nice chunk cheaper. Right now I'm just reading my Proficient Motorcycling book and trying to un...

After watching that for a while my eyeballs started to rebel against me and my brain could no longer comprehend the information being presented to it. Then the video stopped and I had a taco.

You should remind them that without Honda and the CB750 we'd most likely still be in the stone age of crappy v-twin bikes that leak. But those people will not listen to anything that makes sense, they'll just continue to spew whatever BS they heard once. Pointless, so you can't worry about them, th...

I am sorry to hear that usually here in Cali where I live there is hardly ever any rain and even less likely to snow. All I will have to deal with is staying warm lol. Just read all the books that have been suggested here and hopefully the winter will fly by for you. Have a great one and Safe ridin...

OK, thanks for the replies. As far as the used/new option, I am leaning towards buying new right now ($3000 is very nice, and I can get the color I want ) and sticking with it for the long haul, but I will have to keep an eye open for used ones when I'm ready to buy. The problem will be I'll j...

OK, I'll throw some of my questions on these two bikes in here. Let's say I get a Ninja 250 and it lasts me several years and I gain a lot of experience and love riding it, but finally I start getting that urge to upgrade. Are there good mod options for the 250 to increase performance nicely (not ex...

I like the one for "Your turn signal is on." I'm getting better, but still forget it at times. Duhhhhhhh It would be great if signals (for cars, too) were taught in driver training, because I see people driving around with their blinker on all the time. I would try and let them know as it is now, b...

I have been riding bikes longer than you posers, and that makes me an expert, I have seen how bikes have changed thru the years, new bikes are designed to make them easy to ride for you new posers, you posers would be lost riding an older bike, I have seen some of you posers that way you stall out ...

the 500 LTD doe slook like an awesome bike to me. I can see why the dealership sells out as soon as they get em. I'm seriously lookin at a new bike for next year, and i think it will be either an LTD or an s40. The Vulcan 500 seems to be a great bike for the money, and the S40 is a lot nicer lookin...
