No, I would not suggest those for a new rider. If your going for the sport bike look/feel then I would suggest these 1. 2008 - recent Kawasaki Ninja250 http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/9214/kawasakininja250r2008st.th.jpg 2. 2006-recent Hyosung 250gt http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/8963/gt250r01.th....

Lot's of beautiful bikes you fellow female riders have. I brought home my most recent ride Valentines day 2009. I really love her and she is more comfortable to ride than you would think. I think I am going to hold onto her for a long time to come. She is a 1999 Yamaha YZF R6 http://img41.imageshack...

This dealer is quite a distance away, besides they don't deliver. I have no way of towing a trailer. Paying a shipping company to do it is more $ and I rather keep the price down (cheapest was like 350.00 to ship :? ) I wouldn't mind the van idea but I don't think they come with ramps and do they ev...

Best transport & how do you secure a bike when transport

Okay, well I have set the day to pick up my bike (VALENTINES DAY :P ) but I am getting nervous on how to do it. My husband and I are planning on renting a box truck or something of the like and borrowing those ratchet type straps to secure it. I was wondering if anyone has any tips and advice on a b...

Excellent choice. I was actually looking into those at one time for my first bike too  I love the look and the versatility of them. Feel your pain on the wait, it will just make the big day that much sweeter.

:happybikeday: Um...where did you take those pics? Those were the pics the dealer took and used to post on the internet to show the prospective buyers. I haven't taken any pics myself yet. I just used the dealers to show everyone what it looks like. I hope to have newer ones this summer with me inc...

:motorcycle: thank you thank you thank you. Now this winter seems longer than ever. I'm delivering it at my friends and they are going to lower it and put on frame sliders (and check all the internals to make sure everything is up to spec). And then when it warms up they are going to bring me to a p...

Not sure. If I was going to buy new I always figured I would get the Kawi 650r because it didn't have an aggressive seat position and it's more powerful than the 250 but not so powerful as a supersport. The 650r seemed (that I could find) the only one in its class, but this new yamaha also has uprig...

Yahama has a new advanced beginner model coming for 2009

Looks like Yamaha is finally adding a mid weight sportbike FZ6R http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/products/modelimagelib/619/1/1/0/image.aspx It looks pretty good and I like the color schemes. It is heavier though than the Kawasaki 650R and a bit more pricey. It is nice to have a bit more selection ...

Well I called the guy up so we could arrange a time where we could both look over each others bike. Well, it first took him a while to figure out which caller/responder I was (apparently I was not the only one who saw this as a great oppurtunity) I had to jog his memory with "I'm the 2007 silver 250...

Might be trading in my Ninja....

Although I like my Ninja250 just fine and it basically does it all, I just am not experiencing any excitement with it. So I have been looking at middle of the road bikes to move up to and just waiting around for a good deal. Well, I might have found it. I have found a person who wants to get rid of ...

What would happen to the bike if you kept it at the same rpms or it got a little hot? I didn't find this site till after I bought my 2007 250 and on my first time riding (drove it home from dealer) after the msf course and 1st time going beyond 2nd gear..... I kind of didn't know when to shift up so...

Is this a good deal? What are you thoughts?

http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/mcy/686031163.html A friend is asking me my thoughts about this bike and I don't know what to tell him. Other than if he lives close enough, go over and start her up and see how she sounds and/or if possible bring along with him a mechanic to look the bike over. I do...
