Re: Helmet type
I wore a full face helmet when I rode my Katana, I wear a full face helmet on my Magna (cruiser). I live in Houston where the heat and humidity is hard to top anywhere in the US. Yes, it can be hot, but as was already stated, it's not a problem except when going less than 20mph or so. My helmet is w...

I have a 3rd Gen Magna. This is a good site for V4s, including your earlier Magna: http://v4musclebike.com/

I was going to point out what John said about the tires - the 5 year old tires are not good, no matter how good they look. I wouldn't be so quick to part out the '80. The deciding factor for me would be how hard it is to get it titled from the bill of sale. Recovering a motorcycle seat yourself can ...

I've got a '94 Katana which is mostly identical to yours. As was said, the oil light will come on when the ignition is on and bike is off, and it reads pressure. Assuming everything else is right, it will go off when the bike starts. As was suggested, check fuses and wiring. It's easy to get a pair ...

Have someone help measure you. Chest, belly, and arm measurements will give you an idea about what size you should be looking for. There is a CycleGear in FW where you should be able to at least find some jackets that come close to fitting. Then armed with your measurements and CycleGear experience,...

I was in a similar situation - mechanically inclined, but new to bikes, got kids, etc. When you first get a bike you are going to want to ride it as much as possible, it's going to suck having to fix this, or wait on that part all the time. If you're really confidant in your repair skills, have a lo...
