ITA with all the other posters. I still a noob when it comes to riding. I just bought my Rebel the other day, while it was only about 15 miles from where I bought it in Ohio, to my house in West Virginia, I took my truck and trailer and brought it home that way. I know that I'm not ready to be on th...

ITA with the others when they say that your S.O. is a jerk. You have to go with what's comfortable for you. Five years ago, I thought I knew what I wanted. See my sig for that. Now after taking the BRC for the second time, I finally realized what I wanted to start out on. A 05 Honda Rebel. Love that...

I test rode a gz250 not horribly long ago, and they aren't that different. That thing was retardedly fun. I think I'm more apt to get into trouble on a smaller bike because it brings out my inner hooligan. And howdy from Beckley neighbor. Howdy neighbor! :D Small world we live in. My wife's family ...

Yes I am. I can't flat foot the bike, I lean to far forward when riding it, the handlebars are not comfortable, I don't like the fairings...... I can go on.

My wife rides ALOT better than me. Although she quit riding a couple of years ago, since I bought my Rebel, I think the itch to ride again is getting to her.

My wife is great! :D

Pics of my new to me Rebel

I almost didn't buy it, as I hate to part with money at this point due to the economy. I have my Ninja 250 up for sale, so when that's gone it'll cover most of the cost of this one. I'm really excited about it and had it out this morning for a quick ride around my development. http://app1.sellersour...

Here's my 5 year odyssey at buying a perfect beginner bike for me. I first attended the West Virginia BRC in 2004 or 2005 (I forget which) Then bought 2 Kawasaki 125 streetbikes, one for me and one for my wife. They were great for just around our county development, Out on the highway to get to town...

I'm looking at the first gear website. THey have a jacket called the Mesh-Tex, which looks pretty good to me. The one I'm looking at is the DayGlo colored one.

I want to be seen while having some protection.

Happy bike day! to me!

After retaking the BRC, I looked at a 05 Honda Rebel and a 02 Yamaha Virago. (See my other thread on these) Both were very nice bikes, but I decided on the Rebel. It's the same bike that I rode during the BRC and I just fell in love with it. It fits me perfectly! So, for $1950 I got a 2005 Honda Reb...

'Twas not meant to be, so I move on. Feel is very important. I often think the bike chooses you, not the other way around. This is so true! I went and bought the Rebel. Rode it up and down my street three times and it felt good. I gotta take that windshield off, as it's messing with my vision. I wa...

I alomost bought the wrong bike again

I just completed the BRC the other week. I've taken this course before in 2005, but I forgot everything, so I thought it would be safer for me and others on the road, if I went back and retook it. I rode a Honda Rebel during the course and fell in love with that bike. I went to go look at a 05 Rebel...

Cool! I just signed up to take the BRC for the second time. I have my endorsement and I took the class four years ago at WVU-P. I just haven't riden that much at all. So, I'm really nervous when I'm on my bike. I think retaking the class again is smart choice on my part. My class is on June 26th in ...
