Re: Automatic motorcycles, yay or nay?

Would be nice to have the option to switch back and forth. Use manual for the twisties and auto when you're on the commute from hell. From what I've been reading in the Cycle rags they are really getting the technology dialed in. I'm thinking specifically of Honda's DCT. This ain't your daddy's ...

Re: How dangerous is lightning on a bike?

To add to what the others have already said, riding during heavy lightning is a seriously bad idea unless it is an absolutely dire emergency. An inch of rubber isn't going to do Jack dodo against a lightning bolt carrying an untold number of volts and multiple thousands of amps. I've never been hit ...

Re: Restore montesa

Your first post here on TMW is to ask for money? That's weak sauce.
But hey, when I finally get that Western Union money order from the Prince of Nigeria I will hook you up.

Pretty funny, and scary accurate too!

I'm with csspostal, I don't fit into any of those groups either. Where's the "Rides for work/fun, obeys most laws, generally outgoing but not overbearing, ATGATT but not always, hates loud pipes" category? Sign me up for that one.

Re: Longevity and reliability, motorcycle vs. cage

I would disagree Toyuzu. My take on it is that I don't really know if bikes are built to a higher standard, but I don't think so. Like BuzZz says there are just so many more parts and components that can/will go bad on a car. Lots of high mileage cars still on the road with little done to them other ...

:motorcycle: Congrats on the new bike. Looks sharp!

So you put 34K miles on a 2 year old bike, man you are a serious rider. Would take me several years to log that kind of miles. My hat's off to you sir :cowboy: Hopefully you will be able to find a seat that is comfortable for you.

Sounds like they weren't good friends to begin with. Keep riding like an azz long enough and bad things are going to happen. Don't worry dude, you will make new friends. The first time one of my buddies makes fun of my riding style would be the last time. Not cool.

Re: CB360 Cafe now for sale!!

Nice bike Flyboy. You definitely pegged the cool meter with that one.
Need to do something about that tank though. Glossy black and maybe some polish on that Honda logo would go a long way. Still, nice work.

Re: adding a side-car

Sounds like this might be more trouble than it's worth. Depending on the size of your dog you might be better off with some kind of container strapped to your gas tank. Depends on the dog too. You might find that they don't really care for it and keep trying to bail. Something to think about.

Hey ...
