Wrider,,marvin was talking about balanceing it stopped at a light with no feet on ground at all, i couldn't do it myself but, i heard about some one doing it for 15 seconds. i only rode mine 8300 miles. if you want to know about tmax & have a Yahoo account go to tmaxusa: Tmax USA.

i know what you mean, i started out on scooters, 1st. was a 250 HYOSUNG (so. korea, united motors) 1 yr. 2nd. yamaha tmax 500 2yrs. i rode with the big bikes so i got me a sportster H-D. i had to learn to ride all over again, plus the loud pipes, wind, had to put padding in my helment & start weari...

Many moons ago (my wife is going to kill me for telling this story) when I regularly doubled her on the back (and before she even had a motorcycle license), she rested her boot heel on the pipe when riding, each week I'd polish up the bike and notice a rubber on the pipes and wonder, where did that...

how do you remove boot marks from hot pipes? i bought a bottle of boot mark remover at dealer But, they didn't have the scrub pad. i have been told use tar remorver, (didn't work) it's old thou, some one said use aluminum foil (bright side) as scrub pad (worked) but if i scrub hard it scratches. i'm...

FLW---i had a yamaha tmax 500, 2 yrs. 4200 miles. it would do what ever i wanted it to. 105 was the fastest i had it. still had more throttle. it is the biggest scooter i know of. has 15'' wheels front and back. arond 50 mpg. i think new list now is 8400$. i traded for a H-D. i miss the trist & go. ...

hi kenny, well i'm 75 had a 250 husung (so.korea) for a yr. then a yamaha t-max 500 for 2 & may 3rd got a H-D, i'm taking the MSF class next mo. i hope. my biggest problems is parking & starting off on a hill. let it crash day after touring pack put on, let it get too slow in a u-turn going up a hil...

what do you ride? we all have have that problem at high speed. i complain about wind comming throu hole around head light after having windshield installed, they told me to stuff a jacket or something down in there, so i had a rain suit to small & i rolled pants up and put in there made a big differ...

my mistakes 1, slowed to much in a u-turn, to left, (crashed) 2nd, stop sign, wasn't intending to stop But, got to slow(blind intersection) trying to see if something was comming, (crashed). i was going to turn right. both time it fell on left side.
so, i guess my vote was throttle related.

Have you considered learning to ride better? Check out the MSF's lineup of courses (http://www.msf-usa.org). Then you might not need to put crash bars all around the bike. beening riding 3 yrs. on scooter, 1 yr. 250, 2yrs. yamaha 500 tmax. this is my first motorcycle, i let it crash in a u-turn going up a hill, day before had color match touring pack installed (fiber class) top case weighs 19 lb. and i didn't know that. broke bottom bracket on windshield and scratched...

i have a full face flip up with rectractable sun visor and put a tint strip across flip up shield so i could ride into the sun.
