Re: What did you do today...

I spent about 6 hours researching what happened to all the data in one table in one of our main databases. I'm still not entirely convinced I found the cause, but we were able to determine when it happened and recover most of it (the rest will be tomorrow when we roll forward transactions and analyz...

Re: What did you do today...

Just came home from the airport. Picked up our eldest, on home for R&R from a year-long deployment overseas. Five months since we've seen him... SO SO SO wonderful to have him home, and to be able to give him a hug.

Sometimes it's the little things in life.

Re: new to site

Hi Tammy, I took the MSF beginner course in April also, so I'm not much more experienced than you. The one thing that jumps out at me is that you're on a big bike compared to mine... maybe a smaller bike to start with would be just what you need to build that confidence back up.

Best of luck!

Re: What did you do today...

Ran a few errands this morning, then showed my son a few basics on my bike (he's signed up for MSF next week). After lunch, we went to his high school graduation. Came home, ordered pizza and ate that with a couple beers while watching a movie ... then took a nap on the couch.

A fabulous day.

Re: Having trouble finding the right 1st bike for my GF and

Congratulations on starting out the right way - with MSF and research into a good starter bike for you both. I started about 2 months ago on my GS500F. I'm just a little taller than your girlfriend at 5'5", and I can pretty much stand with both feet flat on the ground. It's a stretch, but I can...

Re: What did you do today...

Brought this home, and our youngest son had to sit on it in the driveway ... in his socks. http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o156/ZeeSparrow/DSCN4110640x480.jpg My husband's 2005 Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic. Unbeknownst to him, this is actually a Father's Day gift from our other son, who will b...

Re: Hello, New to group

Congratulations!! Welcome to the wonderful world of two wheels. We were in the market for a bike for my husband recently (that I would also be able to ride occasionally, at 5'5" and 125#). We considered a Shadow Spirit but the ones available here either sold before we could get to them, or were...

Re: What did you do today...

Today I interviewed a candidate for my replacement. It's a strange task! Imagine loving your job (10/10) and then trying to find your own replacement when you're not ready to leave. That sounds like a strange task, indeed!!! Today I agreed to purchase a bike for (me) my husband t...

Re: Crash this morning!

I've been following your posts for a little while now, and am sorry to hear about your crash. Glad it wasn't anything more serious and you'll be able to get things fixed up without too much cost or difficulty. Hope you're feeling better physically already and can get back out there soon! (Love your ...
