Thank you ZT. I am not sure how bad the bike is, but the Lady's insurance should cover it to be fixed if possible :)

First Accident

I just had my first and hopefully last wreck today. A lady pulled out in front of me and due to traffic there was nowhere to go but down. Bike sustained hopefully minor damage and no broken bones!! God Loves Me :) I am going to hurt for a few days, but I walked away and therefore it is a GOOD DAY!!!...

Opps, I forgot, As to men's opnions, I always listen and then weed out what I disagree with, just like I do with other women. Although I have to admit on this particular subject I have found more men that know basic motorcycle stuff than women in numbers, but they have also not understood what or wh...

All I know is that I wanted a sky blue bike, but nooooo, :frusty: the one I can afford is red. A really nice fire engine red and shinny :D, but not blue or green. So I have learned to be happy that I have a bike, someday maybe I'll get it painted LOL.

There actually is a all woman's motorcycle website (store) called http://www.womanbiker.com. I have only bought reflective strips from them and can't speak for the sizes, but it is created and maintained by women. They don't have a large selection the last time I was there and they were expensive, b...

Hey Deacon, To be honest, it sounds more like you are looking for an excuse to lash out at your wife for whatever reasons you may have than seeking a friend to ride with. Biking I have learned is ultimately a solitary sport. You must have known from the beginning when you bought the bike that she wo...

Hey There, My trip to Chicago was AWESOME!!! I had a GREAT time, and I actually thought about moving up there, however; I am not sure the bike would come with me... you guys don't seem to have driving laws, more like driving suggestions LOL!!! Of course the subburbs looked a bit less scary than down...

Thanks OZ, :) To be fair I am a very shy person when meeting new people and I didn't exactly jump in and say Hi, (I just stood on the fringes looking lost I think :)) Anyway, there are a couple of women riders around but the total motorcycle riders around here are very few. It is a small southern to...

I find I notice the front wheel turn before I notice the vehicle move. I'm glad my MSF instructors taught us these habits-- they've already saved my skin. Funny that you sould say that. I don't remember my MSF teachers saying it, but I bet they did, because I have noticed that I really pay a...

Well  to be honest, I did let my bike slide down in some soft sand infrount of my gate one night, but it was late and no one saw me do it. :whistling: :whistling: Picking up a 250 at MSF class and picking up an 800 is a BIGGGGGG differance. In fact I think I could pretty much guarantee that is...

The only reason I began riding was because I fell in love with a Suzuki Intruder 800. I wouldn't trade my bike for anyother although I recently saw another that I appreciated, A antique WWII style motorcycle. However, I would give a lot to borrow a 2005/2006 Ducati just to ride by this guy I know th...

I have still to find gloves that really fit. I have some small women's gloves that are too tight I think because they seem to cut off the circulation in two of my finders at about 20 miles :? , I finally found a pair of men's gloves that have batteries in them to keep your hands warm in winter, but ...

My biggest concern is that when I stop for a red light the person behind me won't stop in time. That's it for me. But I am also afraid of getting too comfortable riding. Most wrecks that I know of have been in situations where the bike being faster and more manoverable could have possibly avoided t...

I am going to give the group another chance because basically they are the ONLY group in this area (read small town here) and I know that I am very hesitant when meeting new people so I will go back. It just surprised me that they were not more open and/or friendly. There were a lot of woment there,...
