Re: Race takeoffs & day / night cycles..

I'm in Denver... Technically it is a desert... I have never seen REAL triple digit temps on the front range. I just lived for 2 years in Yuma, AZ, you wanna talk desert hehe. Its also been really wet this year on the front range. but yeah going from 50-90 in one day is fairly commonplace in these p...

Re: Another Coyote Attack

I doubt they taste very good. It sounds like that area has an overpopulation of coyotes and probably does need to open up hunting to cut down the population. Those coyotes probably dont have any natural predators in that area since wolves are the natural "population control" for coyotes. In the yell...

Beautiful countryside, road looks fun but cratered to hell.

I must say that chopper pilot has some cojones if you look at some of the closeup chopper shots.

I'm not sure that I understand this comment. Please explain????
I think the superhawks reputation speaks for itself here, as does the Tuono (sp), superduke, etc. Liter twins have a reputation for being wheelie machines.

Kinda like Pocket bike racing, except its adults doing it. At least you can do that at a Kart track (which has to be cheaper than going to a full size track)

Took a few brief rides on little 50-90cc scooters before I started riding motorcycles. Its not the same. The riding position and the way they handle is just "off" to what im used to.

I ride a 2005 Burgman, last year it was my main mode of transportation. I howerver prefer to have my legs over straddling a traditional motorbike. I understand the lack of respect and understanding of the real preformance that these machines can provide. Someday I want add luggage and a better seat...

Re: Honda Rebel on the interstate passing cars and trucks.

The bike doesn't even sound too stressed. The CX500 that I started on sounded like it was doing a grand prix at 80mph, but would maintain that speed on hills.

Re: Pretty cool viral vid for the BMW S1000RR

Haha nice... Your local Honda shop is smoking something good in the back room! With the current economy you're looking at MAYBE 12-13K OTD on a 1000 and 9-10K on a 600. Local Kawasaki shop is selling ZX-10Rs for about 9500 OTD and ER6Ns for ..... 4900 OTD (considering the outrageous price on used b...

Re: Been gone for a while, picked up an RC51 since :)

Probably has more to do with the front end of the FZ being a lot lighter than the B-king, possibly a difference in riding position too. Not sure if the B-king is like other suzuki standards, my bandit had a distinctly more aggressive riding position than a FZ6 (FZ6s are about as close to bolt uprigh...

Re: VTR1000 Superhawk 996

How can a Liter twin sportbike not be twitchy as hell off the line? I always found Inline 4s to be a tad softer off the line than twins (but the 4 is absolutely explosive when it comes on the cam). I love the surge of torque and the sound of the twins though, 4 cylinders get you into trouble in thei...

The new bandit have better passenger accomodations than the old school one? My bandit 600 wasn't particularly passenger friendly and the 1200 had the exact same seat and riding position/passenger accomodations.

Re: Are you a leftie or a rightie

Definitely prefer left turns to right, at least on mountain roads. I always find visibility an issue on right hand turns on twisty mountain roads, otherwise I could care less what direction im turning on regular city streets. I have been on a track in a car before and found I was typically carrying ...

What was the difference between the CM and CB series?

I started on a CX500, also very good learner bike (and pretty low maintainance to boot)
