Yep, R&G makes frame and bar end sliders for all years of the 650R.

+1 for it being a good beginner bike, I've been loving mine since I bought it new in 2006.

Re: New Jersey, New York, Maryland., etc

A couple brown outs were tue worst things to happen here. The only thing I did to prepare was to strap my ninja to the porch so the winds couldn't knock it over.

Cars are meant to be driven. Cage is only a state of mind.

I worked today. And went to the gym. I pick things up and put them down.

That's awesome, but I've never heard that story.

I want to go to England someday for the 4th of July.

Maybe find a pub that serves Sam Adams beer.

Drank some beer. Listened to some blues at a little hole in the wall a few towns over.

All in all, a good day.

Hah, don't underestimate first gear too much, it can lift the front end up without the clutch. Get the revs up to a constant 6500 rpm and crank it open.

Or so I've heard. :whistling:

Brighter LED tail brake light and blinker light bulbs might help with visibility as well as a brake light and headlight modulators.

Houston traffic is just plain miserable. Not as bad as Dallas/Fort Worth, but worse than Austin or San Antonio. Stay safe out there!

PS - Ninja 650Rs are awesome. Great bike choice! ;)

Re: winter is on its way need some advice ...

Cold in southern California? Surely you jest. What kind of tires are on there now? I run Michelin Pilot Road 2's on my 650R. They're great in the wet and cold (I've had it out in 20 degree weather with a little caution) though most modern tires should be fine in most any weather you'll run into in s...
