Beautiful bike. If I was single I'd buy one just for the bar bunnies.

I hate the added balancer to reduce vibration. Sure it brings the torque down low in the rev range, but why would you buy that big of a motor and work to keep the revs down.

Re: Battery cable extenders?

Interesting. I haven't seen a battery tender without pigtails in.... well ever really. However, You can pick the pigtails up at a tractor supply. Hook one to your battery like this http://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/Installing_a_battery_tender Hook the other to your alligator clips when you clip it up and...

Still feel alot more safe on the 750 though for the reason mentioned above. I'm not seeing your reasons for feeling more safe on teh 750. I'm glad I started small before hitting a larger bike. zx6 before my r1 before my RC51 before my S1000RR. If I hopped onto the BMW before all that training it wo...

Re: Battery cable extenders?

Are you saying that the battery tenders pigtail isn't long enough to leave hooked up to the battery so you don't have to take the seat off each time?

I've seen longer versions but I can't imagine a cruiser where the standard one didn't work?

Why would I pay $14k for an antiquated garage queen in an area where a garage adds an extra 70,000-100,000 to the cost of a house?

Since you're signed up for the safety course, in the event that you have to use a rebel (sometimes it's the best of what they have), sit on the pillion seat. I've had lots of students do that over the years that encumbered with additional airspace.

Re: This week: 2013 Ural Gear-Up : Vote Today

You need a picture of the shaft from the powered rear wheel to the sidecar wheel. That's the main thing that makes this puppy anyway cool. For the price of a ural, you can buy a modern motorcycle (say a yamaha 900), and bolt on a nicer aftermarket sidecar. If the ural would go to all disk brakes and...

Re: valve adjust honda 84 V30 magna

The seafoam can will tell you how much per gallon to enter. I say just pull the carbs and give them a thorough cleaning. That's something you could easily do yourself and be more effective than seafoam. Also, make sure to change out all the fuel lines at the same time. My old 85 magna lines disinteg...

Uncool for me. It's still on the market because its a reliable good starter cruiser. It'll last quite some time with good upkeep and has more than enough power for the interstate or a regular rider in the twisties (brum needs to stop posting his ride videos- we know what he wants power wise ;) . Re: New rider and bike choices

Harley's not a bad choice, but you may want to educate the better half on the types of sportbikes. Your harley is going to produce more power than the two you mentioned while still not being anywhere near the mid level in power and certainly light years away from the race replicas. However, if you t...

Re: New Bike Questions - for a 6'5" rider (non-sport ha!)

Almost every motorcycle is designed for a 5'10" dude weighing about 170 lbs. See lots of guys that go up in size thinking the seating is going to change but it never happens. Go sit on every bike you can find, even new bikes. Once you find the right feel, you can start narrowing down the search so y...
