i checked out the boots listed at newenough.com, and i have to say that i thought that the combat boots looked simpler. simple is essential when getting boots, because the more parts it is, the faster it breaks down. also, the combat boots apear to be what im looking for in the fact that they look o...

thanks. that defenently looks worth looking into. ice is the same as a heavy oil slick in a parking lot without all the liquid. snow in ice is just more of a 'bend your knees and keep your weight forward' thing. if you can iceskate, you can walk on snow and ice with ease. a great idea, and an aforda...

hmm... the only thing about combat boots is the tread. i need something thats got a rough tread. we walk on ice for about 3 months, and i need something that can withstand harsh treatment. i wear out the sole as fast as i wear out the shoe itself. the combat boots are great for this, with vulcanized...

i have a pair of hiking boots, but the area over the ankle is mostly cloth. i would imagine that as long as its not rubber for the msf course, its ok, but i dont know. i was looking at a new pair of full leather catapillar boots for this winter anyway, but if im going to pay alot for boots, im going...

instead of focusing on which bikes ARENT legal to ride with a 250cc regulation... they should focus on every model that IS. the list will be much more effective that way. nevermind its not an effective system for such a large area anyway.

Snowmobilers seem to be pretty good at killing themselves. its like that up here in alaska as well. people ride down at the base of the mountains after a heavy snow screaming "powder!!!!" and then they cause an avalanch, and ether we never find their body, or they barely make it screaming "$h!!!!!!...

the SV650 and SV650s

the SV650 and SV650s are grey areas. its not actualy recomended to just go to the store, jump on one, and say "HEY! CHECK PLEASE!" do some research on this one before you jump the gun and say "mine! :woohoo: :spot:" its recomended that you take AT LEAST the MSF beginner rider course before e...

The KLR

said to be 'bulletproof', the KLR650 is one that will have many people remembering fond times. how many people remember getting on one of these, taking a backroad, getting on a street, only to end up on another back road? an all around bike, that is said to last a long time, and needs little repair....

the complete list of total NOOB bikes.

this is something more for the experienced riders to fill out for us complete N00Bs. we hear many suggestions, but usualy nothing is concrete. also, many of us are looking for a bit of variety in a newbie bike. not all of us subscribe to gs500's and this would be a place where newbies could read wha...

idle speculation on money and power.

what do you think would happen if you got rid of the richest 25% of the worlds population? obviously the population would go down 25%... but if the money was still there, in the companies, in the banks, in the investments... its just the people gone... what do you think would happen? i want as many ...
