That sucks, but look at it this way...when she gets tired of climbing up into it, or parking it, or whatever in a year or so, it'll have depreciated a lot, be in AWESOME shape, and be on the market.

I always looked at my bike's windshield as a necessary evil. It gave me about 10 degrees worth of comfort in the cold, but since it mounted on the handlebars it adversely affected the handling and "feel" of the bike. I'd say I prefer riding without one...I like feeling the wind.
