hurray! a bet... and Highside is already quoting test sessions to build up his man :-) I like Hopkins. He has become genuinely GP-fast, and it will be a good run between he and KRJr during the season. I like tough bets that are hard to know the outcome without a little faith and luck... but I also l...

I'd say, if you gotta ask, then you're likely not ready. I rode on the street for a year when I first started riding, and then went immediately to the track, but kept riding as a daily commute. I knew it was where I would learn the most about the bike and develop my riding skills. Back then there we...

Re: need some more help

I checked out a 1991 yamaha fzr600. The bike runs great and everything is o.k BUT. Its not a comfy bike. i ride mostly in heavy traffic and i want to go on long rides in the summer time. So i want something more upright sitting. I looked around some more and found a 1994 yamaha seca 600. they are a...

Re: GIRLFRIEND VS BIKE

How many other riders out there has a problem with their girlfriend being jealous of their bike?? That is really sad to hear. Girlfriend should not become Girl-FIEND :-) Her AND biking should be able to coexist peacefully :-) :scooter: It seems odd that when I hear so many people having problems wi...

note: someone mentioned to me that there are larger fuel tanks for sportbikes available on ebay.

NOTE TO HIGH_SIDE (re his VTR1000), boost fuel capacity from 16L to 20+ L, but it was something like $1500 unpainted.

For dualsport bikes, there are Clark, IMS, and others available...

Hopkins will beat Roberts Jr. He consistently has in the past. Roberts has been complaining about everyting since he won the title, while big-eared John quietly got faster... Sounds like a definitive statement Highside!! :D Would you like to place a little friendly wager on that Suzook GP predictio...

the #1 thing is not physical but metaphysical... like a good attitude. take it everywhere and everything works out... even the seemingly impossible becomes improbable and then all of a sudden it just happens. serendipidty doooo. the more "stuff" you bring is just more baggage which you havent left b...

ooohh... i saved my posting... luckily... my little predictions might be fun in the coming months: Just to vote against the odds, Highside, and because these damn "voting" systems are so boring, I need to spice up the gambling with some story telling... I'll toss in a little intuition, craziness and...

Re: Diluting the AMA

Superstock should be the new superbike IMO as well. Keep the rules tight and the field large. This should be a no-brainer IMO, but what do others in here think? I would be interested to find out. High_Side well, it sounds like you should be watching the Canadian Superbike Series, (which is based up...

Singing songs while riding works well when it's raining! -- really helps get the mind focused on the ride and the freedom of being out there, even if the weather is not perfect :D when the roads get really nice and twisty the songs are instrumentals --- classical music, with hard violin, deep base, ...
