Re: #368: This or That? 2018 Suzuki GSX-R750 vs 2018-Honda-CB1000R
Honda wins again for me. I've always wondered how something that weighs 690 lbs can be considered a sport -tourer. Makes no sense to me. Battle tank, yes; sport-tourer...... nope. And it has linked brakes!!! :humm: :disgust:  Really, Kawasaki??? It's not a scooter, fer cryin' out loud!! So not...

Naked vs. faired bike, I'd probably take the naked. Honda wins.

I think it's more the seductiveness of the "power hit" on a four-cylinder sportbike. If you have clear road in front of you, it's incredibly addictive...... the closest thing to flying without leaving the ground.
And a great way to lose your license....

Honda for certain. Standard vs. cruiser, standard always wins in my book.

That's not a bad-looking Harley. Just on the basis of looks, I think I'd take the Harley. The Indian looks busy and fussy to me. Of course to really choose, I'd have test-ride them both.

Re: 2018 Cool Wall: Your thoughts, comments, opinions, suggestions
I'm gonna argue in favor of a "meh" vote. "Uncool" to me means there's something pretty wrong with a bike- it's either mechanically incompetent, or really poorly (offensively?) styled, or something about the design just plain doesn't make sense. "Cool" means..... errrr,...

A little teeny bike-down incident today...
It was a marginally ride-able day today, and we haven't had many such days since November, so I was intending to exercise our stable of motorcycles. While riding my V-strom 1000, just a couple miles from home, I got cut off in traffic, had to brake hard and the bike and I went down. This was on a 4-...

On Wednesday night the site prompted me for a user ID/password, just a few minutes after I had logged in. Same browser session, etc, I hadn't intentionally logged out.

Re: Do you warm up the motorcycle or just turn the key and go?
The one carb'd bike we have left here, a 2003 Triumph Trophy, is extremely quick to come off choke- no more than 10 seconds. Everything else is fuel injected. By the time I put my helmet and gloves on, they're ready to go.
