Mine's a '91. It will be about ten years or so before I pass it on to someone else and go shopping for a newer one.

By the way, all you guys with new rides, take good care of them because I'll be shopping for a clean 2000-2005 model in about a decade from now.

The stock Katana 1100 got a minimium of 200 miles between fill ups, that's almost 40mpg, leaving a bit of reserve on the bottom of the tank. It's probably 10-20% less now - about 34-35mpg. Despite a 1 tooth large than stock front sprocket, that mileage sucks. I'd drop a couple of teeth from the back...

Turbo vanes and bearings wear out over time. Go to your Yamaha dealer and price a new turbo. Then make your decision.
