Hi, You mentioned the rake on the VN. I found it a shock when I went into roundabouts. Yopu get used to it. Went through a few tight roundabouts last night (Newport and Pencoed). Going in left and low, swing back over to the right and then dropping back left the VN did drop like a weight but fortune...

Welcome.

We all use similar excuses. MPG - funds itself as it doesn't pay tolls on the bridge (£120 month). My gap was 22 yrs.

But it is great to be back in the saddle, isn't it.

Yes to the helmet law, prefer open face myself. Back in th 70's I oppossed it and went on a number of MAG rallies demonstrating against the law. Forgot to say

16th August had the VN 10 months and I have clocked up 21000 miles.

Should be on target to reach 25000 miles pa and at around £4.15 a gallon and averaging 43 mpg thats - shxt loads of cash. Not to mention around £15 worth of oil every 8 weeks.
I need that drink
