Re: Any Shooters?

Currently have: Glock .40 (Model 35) Marlin .22 (Tube Feed, semi-automatic) Maverick 12 gauge (Model 88, 18.5" Barrel, 8 shot tube) Would like to have more sport rifles, but those land in the budget behind motorcycles, entertainment, and a whole slew of other things. The 12 gauge we bought when we m...

Re: 2011 KTM 990 Supermoto T - COOL WALL VOTE: in Progress

I'm torn on this one, will have to take some time to think about it. Overall, I like the bike because of the versatility it offers, but the appearance is just hideous in my opinion. The angle on the mufflers is just wrong, and I've never liked that polygon approach to design. Always makes me think o...

Thank you, Mike

Those spam posts didn't last long at all. Saw your post in the Cool Wall section so I knew you were awake and when I went to check on the Chinese goods spam, they were already gone. Thank you for making it a priority to keep the spam away as much as possible, my hat's off to you.

Re: Beginner Jacket

Joe Rocket was my first jacket, but I got some of the fabric caught in the zipper and ended up ripping the zipper partway out trying to get it unstuck. Wearing a Speed and Strength jacket now and both are excellent quality and very reasonably priced. Might still be able to catch some of them on clos...

Re: A or B: Pick one!

Phone, definitely. I hate the impersonality and increased difficulty of trying to disambiguate something via email. Text messages are even worse, absolutely HATE trading text messages for 20 minutes when a 30-second phone conversation would have solved the whole thing. Carbureted -or- Fuel Injected

I laugh no matter how many times I watch this. I think Brit humor is a lot funnier than most of the crap they pass off here in the US.

Re: What did you do today...

I got a copy of my military medical records made today--378 pages. I did some other stuff, but it was all mundane and non bike related. I did wipe them off and make them look all shiny and pretty on Sunday, though. I think I forgot to mention that before.

Found this ad locally, though. Just not sure what bike Honda had in 1981 that had a 6 cyl 500cc motor....

Re: Unobtainium - what are you trusting for???

I've got a deal for you then! 1. you buy the CB400T, bring it home and enjoy it for the summer. Heck, ride it until next spring. 2. Mike & I move back to Calgary. We fly to yours and then ride the Hammer and CB back to Calgary. 8) Only if you promise to bring me some TMW shirts when you fly down. A...

Re: Unobtainium - what are you trusting for???

Funny you should mention....I offered to let Mike take the Hammer out if he was ever in this area. I'm guessing if I had your old bike that'd go a long ways towards helping to convince him to stop by.

Re: Unobtainium - what are you trusting for???

For $1,000 I might just buy it. That's even $1,000 CDN so it'd be one heck of a deal. Now if only I knew someone that could bring it to Tucson or hold onto it until I can figure out how to sneak it across the border....

Re: Guess this car

Since those don't look like any of the buses that used the Detroit Series 60, I'd have to go with the Bugatti Royale. Also of note is the fact it was an inline 8 cylinder engine. Can you imagine how heavy that crank shaft would have to be to withstand that kind of torque?

Re: What did you do today...

Spent the morning taking care of the kids, getting the dressed and fed and making sure they didn't kill each other, then a friend came over to see the new house (mostly the fabled garage) and the Honda 919. Had hoped to go for a ride with him but hip was bothering me too much, so took a nap and spen...

Re: New and Thinking too much

Yeah, you should definitely go sit on as many bikes as you can so you get an idea of what's comfortable and what isn't for your body, your posture, your inseam, your arms, and your everything else. If it doesn't pass the butt test on the showroom floor, chances are you won't like 150 down the road. ...
