It could easily be unpleasant because you feel like you have no measure of control over what is happening , and it is a much more involved method of travel than say...a car or a bus. I dislike being a pillion on a jet ski for that very reason. I haven't been a pillion on a bike since I was around 5...

(flat footing this one: see if you can check the specs for your ninja, maybe it was lower that year? check the suspension/sag, you may be able to flat foot this one as the suspension has softened since it was new)

MJ - good luck with stopping practice and yes, I have no doubt with more practise you will be fine. I'm just slightly over 5'2 and I hear ya - even though I was comfy stopping on the ninja, there were still times it did look pretty bad or rough. Even now... :roll:
