The figure-8 was tough, but don't worry too much about it. If your class goes anything like mine did, you'll have another opportunity to practice it before the skills test, and then even if you don't get the box in the skills test, don't worry about it. We had a bunch of people in my class that didn...

Yeah, I'm not holding my breath for the insurance company, but whatever happens happens.

There is a snafu with the insurance, but they've ordered the tapes from the phone conversation where I bought the policy, and if they're honest then it'll be resolved no problem.. otherwise I've already spoken to a lawyer about it, and I guess we'll see what happens. As for the potholes, they were f...

Down she goes

Well, that sucked. Took the MSF course and immediately started riding to work and on the weekends every chance I could. Went for about a month, doing great, and loving every minute... until. Its an offramp from an eastbound interstate extension onto a major highway, a big S-curve that sweeps down an...

Good on you for sticking up for the Katana... most people would keep going, "its none of my business" and let the owner deal with it himself. Kudos, man.

The most interesting thing I find though is that there is such animosity between sport bikers and cruisers, even though in all reality there is very little seperating the two, like one ought not to wave at the other because he is seated back instead of forward with a slighty different engine. That ...

I love my Ninja! A friend of mine at work rides a Goldwing, as does his wife, and the past couple of weekends they've taken me riding through some of the foothills of the Appalachains in southern Tennessee and north Alabama, and its just loads of fun in the twisties. I'm not comfortable enough with ...

Re: When and how to wave?

Most waved. Always something below and outside their left grip. I usually go above, actually, but I've never seen anyone else do the same. It seems almost like a "hey" as opposed to a "hello", but who knows. Why do sportbike riders never seem to bother? And why does nobody smile...

MSF told me they'd run rain or shine, so be sure to bring gear if the weather looked like it'd go south. Sorry to hear you might get rained out. Hope deferred makes the heart sick!

im just curious, if you have no intent to go fast why buy a performance bike? is it just the looks or what? to me it just doesnt make any sense. if i have a bike that will do 160mph, i will at some point do that speed other wise i would get a slower bike that has better comfort, gas mileage, slow s...
