It has been a while since I have been here. A year ago I wrecked the bike and even though it wasn't badly damaged, I could find no one to work on it and it has been a long long year. I have finely gotton it almost completely fixed except now the batter is dead and I have to try and figure out how to get it off and replace it without killing myself. (I am not fond of electricty) :)

So anyway, I am hoping to be back on the road soon, God willing.

See ya around

Hey lets get you back on the saddle ASAP!

Battery replacement is easy. Just unplug the negative (black cable), then unplug the positive (red cable) Pull the battery, then replace it in the opposite order. Easy as pie. The only thing you have to worry about is not connecting the cables incorrectly, but as long as you keep an eye on which one goes where then you'll be fine.

What Sharp said! You rebuilt a clutch master cylinder. The battery, by comparison, is a piece of cake. Disconnect, slide the old one out, slide the new one in, reconnect, and you're done.

Well, I was telling them in the ladies lounge that the battery is underneath the bike on some kind of panel that lowers somehow and if it wasn't so hard to get to I might have already tried to work on it, but it is amazingly insane to try and get to it. :(
But thanks for the welcomes and the encouragement :)

I haven't been here long enough to know you, but welcome back. What kind of bike do you have? All the ones I looked at buying and actually did buy are under the seat... I'm just curious... I know you've done enough work on it to know where it is though... lol

Hey Wrider,

It is a 93 Suzuki Intruder 800. I guess some insane person thought ...hey, let's put the battery all the way underneath the bike so no one can get to it with out a lot of trouble because obviously that is something that will never have to be replaced

:frusty: Ah well, and the beat goes on.
