Hello!

#1 Unread post by Thistleback »

Hello!

I rode a Honda 125 around the yard when I was a newlywed (1970) but stopped when I got pregnant. Didn't ride again until two years ago when my hubby and I bought Yamaha Zuma scooters. Last fall, my husband, our two sons, and I all took the WMF motorcycle safety course, and I got my endorsement. Now I really want a "real" bike. We can't afford two new bikes this year (damned economy!) but hubby said we can sell both scooters and get me a 250 cruiser to ride this year. He can borrow our son's Ninja if we want to go somewhere together. Next year, we'll both buy larger cruisers. Sounds like a great plan to me.

I highly recommend taking the safety course - it's a tough course because a lot is crammed into a couple of days, but it is worth every drop of effort. My husband, who has ridden off and on for years, said he really learned a lot too.

Anyway, can't wait until the scooters are sold so I can get what I want. I'm looking at a Yamaha Virago (or V-star, depeding on the year) 250 for now.

I'm 55 years old and I think I waited way too long to start riding!
