Hi from Edmonton

#1 Unread post by yellowheader »

Hi there. I rode Honda street bikes (CJ360T, CB750K) in my teens and twenties. Then I took a couple of decades off while my family grew up. Then, two years ago I got the bike bug again and bought an '06 Boulevard S50. A fun bike, but not much room to stretch out. Last summer I made a deal on a '97 Intruder 1400. It has more legroom and better gearing for highway cruising, and I'm quite happy with it.

Been looking around the site some and like what I see. The cool wall and the member blogs are especially interesting. Looking forward to being a part of it.

Hello and welcome to the forums. We sure would like to see a picture of your Intruder.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

We're looking forward to hearing from you Yellowheader. I had an opportunity to buy an Intruder 1400 when we first starting bike shopping, but at the time I thought a 1400 would be too big for my level of experience. I may have been right, but I still wish I had bought that bike. And John's right, love to see some pics.

Yellowheader,

Welcome to the Total Motorcycle Forum, most welcome.

There are a lot of people who rode a motorcycle in their youth and then returned to riding after decades getting on with life. You story is not at all unusual and you will find a lot of people who share your basic experience.

Safe Travels,
Richard

As requested, a couple of bike pics. The blue one is my Boulevard S50, sadly up for sale this spring. The red and black one is my 1400, taken near Miette Hot Springs in Jasper National Park. You can see I like beaded seat covers on long rides :cowboy:
