So the subject pretty much explains my unfortunate dilemma... J.k. A friend of mine bought himself a new bike and pretty much said if I dont ride away on this then he's leaving it at the hotel keys rested on seat... I'd never even ridden before, thank God I stole my moms datsun when I was a youngster to have bums buy us alcohol.... that was my only advise, it's a stick shift, with your hands. I'm used to it now but I still no nothing about it, and I feel I need to know more. I wouldn't know if something were wrong, or even if I'm driving it wrong. I guess anyone to spark something could help considering I dont even know where to begin! Thanks for taking interest!

Hello Jordan! You've come to the right place!

That's a terrifying first ride story, but not an uncommon one. People push other people to learn to ride in incredibly irresponsible ways.

My advise is to find a local riding school and take an introductory course. The gold standard in most places is the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Beginners RiderCourse (BRC). If you're in the US, you can head over to www.msf-usa.org to find a provider near you.

Thank you so much for sharing. It's very helpful to me too. I am currently studying at university and need some help with my MBA assignment. MBA is an in-depth study and I am currently combining doing it with a full-time job. Therefore, I do not have enough time to complete this task.

Welcome. When it comes to the process of timing belt or chain replacement, it is a complex task that should be left to professionals.
