Kawasaki ZR-7S Opinions
I am considering buying a 2003 Kawasaki ZR-7S. It has about 19K miles and has a price tag of 3900. It is along the lines of the bike I want(Middle Weight Naked Sport type). I am wondering if this bike has a good ride and is comfortable for longer trips(100+ miles) and if the price tag and mileage are good for this bike.

The ZR-7 series is a very old tech bike. The suspension, brakes and looks are upgraded somewhat, but at it's heart, it has the same eight valve, air cooled, 738cc engine that first appeared in the 1980 KZ750. That's not to say it's a bad bike. It'll deliver a solid 60-65hp and the 23 year history of the engine means it's proved itself reliable. I've ridden it on the highway and it's quite comfortable and smooth. I've already got a retro bike, but I wouldn't mind having a ZR-7 either.
The one thing I would balk at is the price. These bikes were popular because their low tech powerplant made them relatively inexpensive to buy. You should be able to find good examples with low mileage in the $2500 - $3,000 range.
BTW - The "s" models are not naked. "S" is used for the models with fairings.
