There are no "pros and cons" to these two bikes, or any others for that matter. Pick which one you feel has the best features for your needs - be it price, comfort, performance, maintenance intervals or whatever - and make the choice that's right for YOU.

Are you swayed to either model? What are your points of concern for either model at this point?

Longevity of v-twin vs. 6 cylinder. Any wiring issues with Goldwing? Any warranty issues of Harley vs. Honda? ABS brakes? Any small glitches that someone might know about on either bike. Thanks for any help. Jim

Test drive them both. Rent them both then make your mind. It doesn't matter what we think, as long as you like your ride that's all that matters. But personally I would choose a GW over the HD.
Life may begin at 30 but it gets real interesting at 140!

Honestly either model is going to last you well over 100K if you take care of it properly. At this point it'd be more about what features you want and what riding position you want.

Goldwings have clunky transmissions that are often prone to failure. Honda is simply ignoring the problem and even with production
moved to Japan made no substantive changes. The bike represented good value in 2001 but is no longer competitive with the likes of
BMW, Triumph etc. It does remain comfortable if dated.
