I wear a white Shoei RF-1000. It about 4 year old so I'm looking for a new one. Make sure whatever you get it fits correctly.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Always wear a helmet, eye protection, and protective clothing. Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

I have an Icon Alliance. It is very comfortable for me.

I also like Scorpion...for the fit.

It all depends on the shape of your head and your budget.

I have an Arai Signet Q and like it a lot, but buying a helmet is like getting a pair of shoes. Just life feet come in all shapes and sizes, so also do heads, and the most important goal in a helmet purchase is a good fit to your own head. There is a great thread on how to choose a helmet on this forum.

With 15 years of riding experience, I would hope that you had a good understanding of helmets, but perhaps you are from a part of the world where a lot of riders don't where helmets. In any event, I hope you make a good purchase.

Safe Travels,
Richard

My apologies if you're already familiar with this infographic.

So it seems in a crash, you're far more likely to hit your jaw than any other area. Choose a helmet style appropriately.

For me, it's full face, all the time, no exceptions.

I've had only 1 motorcycle accident (knock on wood there) and it was a doozy with me ending up on my chin at 50km/h. The paramedics said if I wasn't wearing a full face helmet I'd have a wired jaw today.

Not a scare tactic, just pointing out what my experience was.

+1

Also what works for one person may not work for another. I was always a Shoei RF series fan. I always thought it fit me the best. I have now discovered that Shark helmet even fits me better. I have the Shark Race-R Pro helmet and I love it.

IMHO AGV is great. I had Arai before and the AGV fits me better. Besides, they are good looking lids.
