2008 Harley's have arrived!

#1 Unread post by Gummiente »

Some of the rumours turned out to be very true - like the new Rocker and optional ABS on the touring models:

I added the TMW link as we have photos and information you won't find at H-D about the models thanks to our press/media affiliation. :D

Celebrating it's 105th year, Harley-Davidson introduces it's biggest motorcycle line up ever with 34 models including some new very radical models like the FXCW Rocker and FXCW Rocker C. New as well for 2008 is the FXDWG ANV 105th Anniversary Dyna Wide Glide, FXDF Dyna Fat Bob, VRSCDX/A Night Rod Special
and many other new varients on the older models! H-D CVO brings us four new super models to drool over. Be sure to also check out the special 2008 105th Anniversary Models too! TMW has the media desktop photos, features, specifications you can't find anywhere else. Total Motorcycle, your total source for motorcycle information. 2008 Harley-Davidson

Well I have to admit, it's nice a bike.

But this "little lady" won't be convinced, as hubby is really a sport bike guy - he keeps talking about his Ducati, Yamaha R1.

Plus where would I sit?? I don't think my little Honda could keep up!

I dig the Fat Bob.. except for the little fender on that fat front tire.

I don't get it.

Rabbit,
Touring:
Again no big changes with only one model being removed from the touring family, the Road King Custom
.

While not as BIG a change, it is a big change from HD standards. The gas tank is 6 gallons instead of 5. Touring HD's have traditionally been 5 gallons since Christ was a corporal.

So now its 96 inches,6 speed, counter balanced twin cam w/ 6 gallon gas tank. :smoke:

Where was the rocker when I was 25, 25 years ago? :frusty:

Don't forget the closed loop EFI, Brembo brakes with ABS and a fly-by-wire throttle.

Gummiente,

I think you pay extra for the brembro brakes or their only on the FLHTCUI something like that.

The Brembos are standard on all FLH series for '08, it's the ABS option that you have to pay extra for.
