There are rumors out there on the interweb that Giovanni Castiglioni has re-purchased all of Harleys shares in MV Agusta and the company will be headed by Mr. Massimo Bordi (that guy who worked for Castiglioni whenthey resurected Ducati back in the 80s). Hopefully they can do great things with the brand.
In related news, the other one of Harley's castaways Eric Buell floated a video teaser of a new 1190RR in streetbike trim on the net this week. Hopefully he can come back to do greater things once his non-complete contract expires in 2011.

....he sold it to Harley for 109, 000 000 two years ago and bought it back for 1 Euro. Over the two years he was still running the company and pumping truck-loads of Harleys money in to developing new product. Brilliant!

So once the monster debts and liabililties of MVA were considered, HD felt it had no value whatsoever?

Apparently, so selling it for 1 euro made sense to them. Having Harley buy your company 2 years ago and pump a boat load of money in to it before giving it back made a lot of sense to Castiglioni too. I hope that he can make a go of it. If it weren't for him both Ducati and MV would likely not be where they are today.HYPERR wrote: So once the monster debts and liabililties of MVA were considered, HD felt it had no value whatsoever?

I'm glad the company is going to be revived. I would like to own a Brutale one day.
