Delhi police to employ Dhoom bikers
Thursday, November 23, 2006 - By Hemant Sharma - ndtv.com

This could have been your ordinary biker movie story, but it's got a nice fairytale spin its about a group of motorcycle riders in Indore.

So,impressed were the Delhi Police by their dare devilry profiled in an NDTV report two weeks ago that they have said they want to draft the youngsters on the force.

The TXT or Throttle Extreme Group in Indore, Madhya Pradesh has earned itself a name for the daredevil stunts they perform on the city bypass.

The Delhi police caught a glimpse of their ability on NDTV and now want the youngsters on its team.

"The way they had expressed heir desire on your channel that they could do any daring work like rescue operation if given a chance. So we are giving them an opportunity to work with Delhi police," said Dinesh Sharma, Sports Inspector Delhi Police.

For Ravish and Aniruddh it is a dream come true.

"The entire group has been given a chance. We will start working as sub inspector. Every youngster has this dream of wearing the police uniform one day," said Ravish.

"It is a very nice offer," said Anirudh.

The youngsters are clear that out of the two options offered in the movie Dhoom, they chose to go down the path of the good guys.

While the bikers will go through their paces as regular members of the Delhi police, they will also be part of a special squad.
