Motorcycle Association Toy Run helps children

The Siskiyou Motorcycle Association has scheduled its annual Christmas benefit fund-raiser “Toy Run Ride and Party” for this Saturday,

Dec. 2.

Sign-in for the ride is from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Papa's Place, 203 Main Street in Weed. Riders, along with Santa, will leave Weed at 11:45 a.m. and ride through as many Siskiyou County towns as possible, weather permitting, in a show of appreciation for all the community support.


The party takes place from 4 p.m. to midnight at the Sons of Italy Hall, 155 Clay Street in Weed. There is a cover charge of $10, or a new unwrapped toy of equal value, per person. No stuffed toys is requested. No minors will be admitted.

An all-you-can-eat Mexican dinner will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. for an additional donation of $7 per person. Beverages will be available for purchase.

A Chinese auction, along with various other fund-raising raffles, will begin promptly after dinner. Raffle prizes include $150 cash, $100 worth of gas, and a cord of firewood.



Live music will be provided by Rival. The highlight of the evening is a drawing for a brand new 2007 Harley Davidson FXD Dyna Super Glide.

Funds raised go towards the purchase of toys to benefit children of families in need throughout Siskiyou County.

The deadline for submitting names is this Tuesday, Dec. 5. SMA asks that all information listed above is written clearly.



All donations are tax deductible. Siskiyou Motorcycle Association is a fully qualified for public benefit non-profit corporation.
