Friday, January 12, 2007 - The Abbotsford News - abbynews.com

The Vancouver Motorcycle Show, Canada’s largest and best attended motorcycle show, is returning to Tradex from Jan. 25-28. With more than 200 exhibitors and more than 40,000 attendees expected to attend, the Vancouver Motorcycle Show brings leading manufacturers, distributors and dealers together to launch their 2007 product lines.

There’s plenty more to and do than sit on bikes, with attractions featuring:

n The 5th Gear Stunt Riders will return for 2006, featuring professional stunt rider and big picture stunt man Gaston Morrison. Morrison has performed motorcycle stunts in big budget productions like Sahara, I Robot and X-Men III: The Last Stand.

n Let the Yamaha Riding Academy teach your six to 12 year old to ride. All for free, your child will be suited up with safety gear, a PW50 mini-bike and professional instruction so they can start motorcycling safely.

n Watch Mini Bike Racing action as professional racers battle it out on the oval.

n Visit Custom Alley and dream up your own Easy Rider fantasy. Dozens of custom choppers will be on display.

n Enter to win a Grand Prize choice of four Yamahas, a six-day British Columbia road trip and various other motorcycles, scooters, trips and accessories.

Manufacturers unveiling new 2007 models include: Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Harley-Davidson, BMW, Moto Guzzi, Ducati, Buell, Victory, Aprilia, KTM, Vespa, Hyosung, Ural, Arctic Cat and Bombardier.

Admission is $11 for adults, $6 for juniors aged six to 15 and free for children under six. Families passes (two adults and two juniors) are $24.
