Calgary Motorcycle Show Wrap Up

The 2011 Calgary Motorcycle Show wrapped up Sunday, January 9th at 5:00 p.m. at the BMO Centre,
Stampede Park.

The Calgary Motorcycle Show kicked off the 2011 riding season in style – despite the high wind warnings, road
closures and blowing snow, over 28,000 motorcycle enthusiasts attended the three day Show at the BMO
Centre to check out the hundreds of motorcycles, ATV’s, scooters and aftermarket accessories from all
the major manufacturers.

The fourth annual SHE Rides Nite was popular among the female riders, with exhibitors offering numerous
show specials. At the end of the night Diane Heinze of Calgary walked away with the keys to a Suzuki
GS500 provided by Walt Healy Motorsports and Suzuki Canada. Hundreds of children between the ages of
6 and 12 years old took part in the Yamaha Riding Academy, learning to ride in a safe and controlled
environment. The heart stopping, jaw dropping action of the Motor Madness Show featured top Canadian
Freestylers that wowed crowds with their gravity defying tricks, but the highlight of the Show was ATV
Freestyler, Jon Guetter who performed back flips on his ATV. The Vintage Display, Trials Demonstrations,
seminars and Winners Circle Q&A also grew great crowds throughout the weekend.

The 2011 Calgary Motorcycle Show wound down Sunday afternoon with the highly anticipated eliminationstyle,
grand contest to win the $5,000.00 Shop the Show Sweepstakes. Keith McClelland of Calgary was
the lucky winner and chose a new Honda motorcycle with his $5,0000.00 winnings.
The 2011 Calgary Motorcycle Show runs from noon on Friday January 7th until 5:00 pm on Sunday, January 9th, at the BMO Centre,

Stampede Park. Admission is $13.00 for adults, $9.50 for juniors (6-15 years of age), and $35.00 for families (2 adults, 2 juniors). Kids under the age of 6 years get in free when accompanied by an adult.

The Calgary Motorcycle Show is the Canadian Motorcycle and ATV industries’ official event for the launch of
the new 2011 models. It is a cooperative effort between the Motorcycle and Moped Industry Council (MMIC),
Canadian Off Highway Vehicle Association (COHV) and Canadian National Sportsmen’s Shows.
