All Roads Lead To Suzuki VMX Classic Dirt 8
After a hugely successful event in 2010 during the Queensland birthday weekend, Suzuki and VMX Magazine will be returning to the famous Green Park Conondale facility for Suzuki VMX Classic Dirt 8.
The event, the dream of founding VMX Magazine editor Ray Ryan, involves inviting past and present motocross and dirt bike riders, including a number of former champions, to a weekend of non competitive vintage motocross riding. In addition Suzuki Classic Dirt also caters for vintage enduro and trials with three motocross tracks, vintage endure loops and superb trial sections.
Catering for pre 1975 and pre 1985 MX machinery, the Suzuki sponsored event also provides the chance for many riders to test a full range of the latest hi-tech Suzuki 2-stroke and 4-stroke motocross and enduro models.
"Suzuki has proudly sponsored every VMX Classic Dirt event since its inception and we are thrilled by not just the number of riders but also by the positive feedback given to Suzuki and event organisers," Perry Morison, General Manager, Motorcycles, Suzuki Australia said.
"Thanks to Ray Ryan's vision, Suzuki Classic Dirt is the original and best non- competitive vintage dirt bike event in the country."
Due to the overwhelming popularity of last year's event, Suzuki VMX Classic Dirt 8 has been capped with a maximum of 600 riders and pre registration is essential. Since moving to Conondale in 2009, the event has attracted a large number of Queensland participants. Therefore to support those affected by the natural disaster which took place in Queensland in early January, Sunshine Coast Motorcycle Club and Suzuki will be donating a percentage of the gate's proceeds to the Queensland Premier Disaster Relief Appeal.
The event will take place from Friday 10th June to Monday 13th June 2011.
