2013 #CALGARY MOTORCYCLE SHOW – REDEFINED RIDING
CALGARY, AB (February 5, 2013) – The 2013 Calgary Motorcycle Show wrapped up on Sunday, January 6th, 2013. The industry’s premiere event showcased the new line-up of 2013 motorcycles, scooters and ATVs from all the major manufacturers.
Over 33,000 eager motorcycle enthusiasts came down to the BMO Centre throughout the course of the weekend. The Show was the first opportunity of the season for enthusiasts to check out all the new 2013 motorcycles, scooters and ATV’s from all the major manufacturers. There were hundreds of exhibitors featuring an excellent selection of apparel and accessories as well as touring destination, club, associations and charity rides to investigate.
“Thousands of Calgarians were treated to the non-stop action of the Evolution of Extreme/Team Empire Show held in the Corral over the course of the three days, in addition show goers checked out the new models, gear, accessories, Yamaha Riding Academy, and live performances by country star Clayton Bellamy, ” says Laurie Paetz, Show Manager, “there was something to spark the interest of motorcycle enthusiasts of any age.”
The annual SHE Rides Nite was a roaring success with just under 800 ladies taking part. As the evening drew to a close, five lucky ladies qualified to participate in the elimination style draw. Tracey walked away from the Show with the keys to a new Suzuki S40 motorcycle provided by Walt Healy Motorsports and Suzuki Canada.
The dream of kicking off the 2013 riding season on the seat of a Triumph Bonneville motorcycle was realized by Christine, one of 30 qualifiers who relied on her luck to secure the Show’s grand prize courtesy of Triumph Motorcycles and Blackfoot Motosports.
