Team Suzuki Press Office – July 24.

Jeremy Seewer powered his RM-Z250 to an eighth podium result of the season by scoring a brilliant second position overall at Loket for the Grand Prix of Czech Republic today.

The Team Suzuki World MX2 rider made the most of a positive and fast feeling around the undulating hard-pack to notch moto results of third and second, as the 13th round of 18 this year took place under cloudy and changeable skies where the threat of a brief shower was never far away.

Some 25,000 spectators (weekend figure) defied the unstable but warm conditions to find a spot around the hillside venue that houses a curling and slick layout with the hard and stony terrain pushing throttle control to the fore in the search for optimum traction.

Seewer placed third in a muddy Qualification race on Saturday and was confident of his speed, rhythm and potential for Sunday. In the first moto he made a start on the edge of the top five and then played a part in an immensely watchable tussle for second position behind the escaping Dylan Ferrandis. Seewer took his time to pass Brian Bogers and Adam Sterry to move into second place but had little reply to the charging figure of Max Anstie. He ended the 30-minute and two laps with third spot. Later in the afternoon, and for the second moto, Seewer was again in the top-three. Ferrandis was distant once more and Seewer had his hands full with Anstie. On this occasion the Swiss dealt admirably with his British rival and swept to second place to earn the ‘second step of the box’ and equal his career and season best result.
